The Obamas signed a millionaire contract for their memoirs

Former U.S President Barack Obama, and his wife, Michelle have signed a contract together to write their memoirs respectively in which they will receive a millionaire amount with no precedent in the history of former White House tenants.

Several publishing houses have pushed for the rights, that finally were gotten by Penguin Random House. either the publishing firm, to the Obamas have avoided to talk about the details, but near sources cited by the Financial Times have assured that the publishing will pay more than $65million.

The couple would have committed themselves to donate a significant amount of money to charity organizations.

Markus Dohle, Penguin Random House executive director says that they feel really excited to continue their collaboration with President Obama and Mrs. Obama. He also highlights the leadership that according to his view, have changed the world.

Other president’s memoirs.

The memoirs published by Former President, Bill Clinton in 2004, were settled with a contract of $15 million, while George W. Bush’s memoirs had cost around $10 million, so that the agreement with the Obamas has no precedents in terms of economic aspects.
