Rihanna, Dakota Johnson and Jared Leto have been spotted recently wearing the garment of the moment: one jacket signed by Gucci, suitable only for the privileged pockets.
Never mind that we are in full autumn. The garment of the moment in the world of celebrities is not a suit or sandals. Is one of the designs presented in the collection of Gucci in 2016, a denim jacket. It has become the inseparable part of such familiar faces as Rihanna, Dakota Johnson, Jared Leto, rappers 2 Chainz and French Montana or the blogger Susie Bubble. It is lined with sheepskin and with embroidery, is already on sale on the website of the firm with the price of 3,980 euros.
What’s so special to justify its high price and why it has managed to dazzle by so many celebrities? Apparently, the design is inspired by a denim jacket with patches that Alessandro Michele did himself. The creative director of Gucci, sewed it by hand during a trip to Los Angeles. Embroidery decorating the denim jacket represents some of the most recognizable motifs of the collection: the bird, butterfly or bee. In the back, a large tiger is surrounded by the inscription ‘L’Amour Par Aveugle’ (‘blind love’, in French). Its production process is manual (each application is sewn one by one) and it takes about 4 hours to finish each jacket.
The meteoric rise of Alessandro Michele as one of the most admired and respected in the industry today, is due, in addition to his undeniable talent and unique vision to renew the brand, to support designers that their designs are by the most famous faces film, music and fashion.
The singer Florence Welch has just become image of Gucci jewelry and watches and Jared Leto, friend of the designer. His designs are applauded same for girls and boys, that worn by rappers or mixed with eclecticism by icons like Rihanna. Even Beyoncé pulled on his Instagram account.
